With a market presence in 170 countries and over a hundred years’ experience in manufacturing high-performance tyres, Michelin is responsible for one of the world’s most recognisable brands. In 2013, the company’s Brazilian unit discovered that the accident rate had increased; further investigation showed that employees were disengaging from risk prevention measures.

SafeStart at Michelin Brazil

Michelin chose SafeStart not only for its proven success in cultivating a new mindset towards risk but also because it integrated with their existing safety management system. A total of 2,460 employees were trained, leading to a 68 percent reduction of accidents in the 2013-15 period.
