He is a Mining Graduate from Bengal Engineering College and started his carrier in Coal India. He worked at CIL for more than 15 years at various capacities and left in 2008 to join Joy and then Hargreaves. He worked as 1st Class Mine Manager & Safety Officer and worked in modern Mining technologies. He has a very long experience working with overseas companies and is exposed to modern Mining technology as well as modern Safety concepts. He has about 28 years of experience in Mining Industries.

He has done his PG Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI, Hyderabad and Production Management from Annamalai University.

He has NEBOSH International Diploma in Safety Management, from UK, which is unique in Indian Mining fraternity. He is also Lead-Auditor in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001. He is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), which is based on Modern Psychological and Behavioral study.
